Teddy bear cake

Made for two year old Sasha. Sasha loves his teddy bears. 

My first try at this type of cakes.I love to try new things. I always learn from them. Next time I'll know better.

Regarding the color, I did not plan for it to be so dark brown. I was trying out new colors and now I know that they are so much stronger than Wilton.

introducing today's pride and joy......

This is the cake I made today for a lovely young girl. My first shell cake!

Although it was quite challenging to make the lid of the shell stay opened and I had to re do it two times and fix everything that got broken when the lid fell down, it still became my pride and joy. :) I absolutely love this cake.

The upper part of the shell is cardboard covered in sugar paste. 

I dusted the whole cake with cocoa powder and gold luster to achieve the shell effect and I used brown sugar for the sand.

Lightning McQueen cake made for young Luca. I love that name. It has been one of my favorites for soo long now.

Just a small cake I had to squeeze in, last minute this Sunday. The cake was lemon cheese cake and I decorated it with white chocolate and lemon slices.

I made this cake for a friend's birthday. This was our gift to her. 

I gave her a Chanel purse and a pair of Gucci flip-flops:)))) I wanted to give her a high heel shoe but it just was not meant to be. I made the high heel shoe in advance and twice!!! It just wouldn't dry. I used MMF the first time and sugar paste the second time. The shoes started to melt!!!!! I think it is the humidity. 

So, last minute I gave her a flip flop:)

No time to paint myself. I had to paint the cake that night:))
And yes, besides making so many cakes at nights I also party from time to time, not for too long though, as I had to wake up early morning next day to work on other cakes.

This cake was a surprise birthday gift from one of my high school classmates, who is now living in NZ, to her brother.

She discovered my blog last week and wrote to me about making her brother a cake. Obviously I said yes and this is what I made for him.

I wanted to post it quickly, as I am sure Daria would love to see her present.
