carp cake

A while back I saw a carp cake and  I wanted to do it ever since. So when I was asked to do a cake for someone who's hobby was fishing, I obviously jumped at the chance.
So here you have my humble first try at a carp.

Nova and her cake!!!!

Remember this cake? It gives me great pleasure to introduce you all to NOVA, the birthday girl!
Check out her eyes!!!!!!! Amazing, right?

And now, meet her little cute friend:) This explains the cake. right?
I love this photo!!! This is the cutest and most gentle hamster I've seen. Rebeca also has one, but hers bites! and so we don't get to have any kind of closeness with ours.

baby rump Christening cake

Cake entirely designed by one talented mother. I was very excited to make it.
I love how it turned out, in spite of all the heat problems.

another converse cake

Another Converse cake, this time without the shoe box. It was supposed to feed 15 people. The inside was chocolate and wild berries.
I wanted to make the shoe gray but when I add Wilton black to white it turns into purple and not gray.

back of the cake

introducing one of my youngest fans:)

I just love it when people get back to me with reactions after having tasted one of my cakes.
I especially love it when they take the time and send photos of their moment with the cake.
This is actually not the first time I've been sent photos, I just didn't think of posting them before. It is such a  moment of joy for me to see them all enjoying the cake and having fun with it, that I thought I should share it with the rest of you.
So, here we go
This is a cake made in February, for Valentine's day.

And this is an anniversary cake made about one month back. look at the little one how he instantly grabbed the sheep I put on top of the cake. How can I not love him???????
such a little cutie....

and this is a first!!!! you get to see one of my cakes sliced!
This was a yogurt and strawberry mousse filling.
Thank you Tunde for getting back to me and sending me these precious pics. I loooooove it!
You have a very beautiful baby! Thank you for making me part of your lovely family and thank you for choosing my cakes to celebrate the special moments of your life.
A big hug and lots of kisses

Rebeca's party

The party was a Hannah Montana themed party. So I hired a limo!!!! for the girls. The limo picked up each girl from her house and took them all to the party.

The driver was the best!!!!!!
He got out of the car for each and every girl and opened the door for them.
They listened to Hannah Montana / Miley Cyrus  songs the whole ride.
They pumped up the volume and even danced in the limo.

My Hannah Montana!
The table I set up for them. I didn't get there before them so I did not get the chance to take detailed photos.

Desert table
The hanging pompoms were made  out of tissues. Please go over  to Martha Stewart's web and see how you can make them.

Half way through the party:)

pizza time!

We also had a pinata, which I made one hour before the party, using a gift bag and some orange, pink and black crepe paper. It was full of gum, candy, plastic toys, chocolate and confetti.

And of course we had CAKE!!!!

here comes the cake!

Congratulations baby!!!!

biting off the dog's nose

Eating the cake:))
This little guy never ate cake before. He didn't like to, and look at him eating this one!!! He ate the whole slice by himself! My no 1 fan:)))
How could I not post about him???????

If you want to see more pictures of Rebeca's party, please feel free to access my Picasa album and view all the photos.

Rebeca's cake

This is the cake I made for Rebeca's party. She wanted a Chihuahua in a bag!!!!
My dog came out as some kind of a weird cross between a Chihuahua and a rat!!!:)))))))))))))
But it still looks like a dog, so she was quite happy with it. I love making her happy.
I kept the same colors I used for the rest of the party, this way it ties in with the whole idea.
Party pictures in my next post.
