birds nest cake

A friend of mine celebrated 2 years of marriage the other day and asked me to make them a cake. It should say love, she told me.

So I figured I'd make them a bird nest. Why?

A nest = a home, something built together, so I thought it would be perfect for celebrating marriage. The two little birds hugging themselves, said love in my eyes, representing the happy couple in their nest:)

I also engraved their initials in the tree branch, in the middle of a heart; definitely saying love, right?

I think it was a good idea, don't you?
